§ 44‑69. Effectiveperiod for lien on leaf tobacco sold in auction warehouse.
No chattel mortgage,agricultural lien, or other lien of any nature upon leaf tobacco shall beeffective for any purpose for a longer period than six months after the sale ofsuch tobacco at a regular sale in an auction tobacco warehouse during theregular season for auction sales of tobacco in such warehouse. This sectionshall not absolve any person from prosecution and punishment for crime. (1943,c. 642, s. 1; 1975, c. 318.)
