Registration of OfficialDischarges from the Military and Naval Forces of the United States.

§ 47‑109.  Book forrecord of discharges in office of register of deeds; specifications.

There shall be provided, andat all times maintained, in the office of the register of deeds of each countyin North Carolina a special and permanent book, in which shall be recordedofficial discharges from the army, navy, marine corps and other branches of thearmed forces of the United States. Said book shall be securely bound, and thepages of the same shall be printed in the form of discharge papers, withsufficient blank lines for the recording of such dates as may be contained inthe discharge papers offered for registration.
