§47‑32.  Photographic copies of plats, etc.

After January 1, 1960, in allspecial proceedings in which a map shall be filed as a part of the papers, suchmap shall meet the specifications required for recording of maps in the officeof the register of deeds, and the clerk of superior court may certify a copythereof to the register of deeds of the county in which said lands lie forrecording in the Map Book provided for that purpose; and the clerk of superiorcourt may have a photographic copy of said map made on a sheet of the same sizeas the leaves in the book in which the special proceeding is recorded, and whenmade, may place said photographic copy in said book at the end of the report ofthe commissioner or other document referring to said map.

The provisions of this sectionshall not apply to the following counties: Alexander, Alleghany, Ashe,Beaufort, Camden, Clay, Franklin, Granville, Greene, Harnett, Hertford, Hoke,Hyde, Jackson, Jones, Lee, Lincoln, Madison, Martin, Northampton, Pamlico, Pasquotank,Pender, Person, Pitt, Richmond, Robeson, Rockingham, Sampson, Scotland, Surry,Swain, Vance, Warren, Washington, Watauga and Yadkin.
