§58‑25‑10.  Funds derived from assessments and dues.

The fund from which thepayment of benefits, as provided for in G.S. 58‑25‑5, shall bemade, and the fund from which the expenses of such association, order orsociety shall be defrayed, shall be derived from assessments or dues collectedfrom its members.  Such societies or associations shall be governed by the lawsof the State governing fraternal orders or societies, and are exempt from theprovisions of all general insurance laws of this State, and no law hereafterpassed shall apply to such orders or societies unless fraternal orders orsocieties are designated therein. (1987, c. 483, s. 2.)
