§ 58‑50‑230. Complaint procedures.

An applicant or participant incoverage from the Pool is entitled to have complaints against the Pool reviewedby a grievance committee appointed by the Executive Director. Members of theBoard shall not serve on the grievance committee. The grievance process shallcomply with G.S. 58‑50‑62. The grievance committee shall report tothe Board after completion of the review of each complaint. The ExecutiveDirector shall retain all written complaints regarding the Pool at least untilthe third anniversary of the date the Pool received the complaint. Independentreview of an appeal decision upholding a noncertification or a second‑levelgrievance review decision upholding a noncertification shall be subject toreview pursuant to Part 4 of this Article.
