§ 58‑58‑285. Other law enforcement or regulatory authority.

This Part does not:

(1)        Preempt theauthority or relieve the duty of other law enforcement or regulatory agenciesto investigate, examine, and prosecute suspected violations of law.

(2)        Prevent or prohibita person from disclosing voluntarily information concerning viatical settlementfraud to a law enforcement or regulatory agency other than the Commissioner.

(3)        Limit the powersgranted elsewhere by the laws of this State to the Commissioner to investigateand examine possible violations of law and to take appropriate action againstwrongdoers. (2001‑436,s. 3.)
