§58‑70‑120.  Unauthorized practice of law; court appearances.

Neither a collection agencynor any representative thereof who is not a duly licensed attorney shall engagein the practice of law.  As used in this section, "practice of law"includes the preparation of warrants or subpoenas.  A collection agency'srepresentative is prohibited from appearing in court on behalf of a creditorexcept as required by court order or subpoena, and except to submit and explainclaims in bankruptcy court. (1979, c. 835; 1989, c. 441,s. 11.)
