§58‑71‑35.  Forfeiture of bail.

(a)        Except for bondsissued to secure the return of a motor vehicle subject to forfeiture inaccordance with G.S. 20‑28.3(e), the procedure for forfeiture of bailshall be that provided in Article 26 of Chapter 15A of the General Statutes andall provisions of that Article shall continue in full force and effect.

(b)        At any time beforeexecution is issued on a judgment of forfeiture against a principal or hissurety, the court may direct that the judgment be remitted in whole or in part,upon such conditions as the court may impose, if it appears that justicerequires the remission of part or all of the judgment.
