§ 58‑92‑40. Inspection.

To enforce the provisions ofthis Article, the Attorney General, the Department of Revenue, and theCommissioner, their duly authorized representatives, and other law enforcementpersonnel may examine the books, papers, invoices, and other records of anyperson in possession, control, or occupancy of any premises where cigarettesare placed, stored, sold, or offered for sale, as well as the stock ofcigarettes on the premises. Every person in the possession, control, oroccupancy of any premises where cigarettes are placed, sold, or offered forsale is hereby directed and required to give the Attorney General, theDepartment of Revenue, and the Commissioner, their duly authorizedrepresentatives, and other law enforcement personnel the means, facilities, andopportunity for the examinations authorized by this section.
