(a) Each limitedpartnership must maintain a registered office and registered agent as requiredby Article 4 of Chapter 55D of the General Statutes and is subject to serviceon the Secretary of State under that Article.
(b) Limitedpartnerships formed prior to October 1, 1986, shall file a certificate oflimited partnership with the Office of the Secretary of State pursuant to G.S.59‑201(a) designating the address of the registered office of the limitedpartnership and the identity of the registered agent at such address.
