Elections for the purpose ofauthorizing the levy of taxes for the issuance of bonds shall be called by thedistrict board and shall be conducted and the results canvassed by the boardsof elections having jurisdiction within the participating units. Such resultsshall be certified to the district board and such board shall certify anddeclare the result of the election and publish a statement of the result onceas provided in the Local Government Bond Act.
