§8‑10.  Copies of grants in Burke.

Copies of grants issued by theState within the County of Burke prior to the destruction of the records ofsaid county by General Stoneman in the year 1865, shall be admitted in evidencein all actions when the same are duly registered; and when the original grantsare lost, destroyed or cannot be found after due search, it shall be presumedthat the same were duly registered within the time prescribed by law, asprovided upon the face of original grant.
