§8‑32.  Certified copies of deeds and wills from other states.

In cases where inhabitants ofother states or territories, by will or deed, devise or convey propertysituated in this State, and the original will or deed cannot be obtained forregistration in the county where the land lies, or where the property shall bein dispute, a copy of said will or deed (after the same has been proved andregistered or deposited, agreeable to the laws of the state where the persondied or made the same) being properly certified, either according to the act ofCongress or by the proper officer of the said  state or territory, shall beread as evidence.
