§89E‑12.  Issuance, renewal and replacement of licenses.

(a)        The Board shallissue a license upon payment of the license fee as fixed by the Board to anyapplicant who has satisfactorily met all the requirements of the Chapter asadministered by the Board. Licenses shall show the full name of the registrant,shall give a serial number, and shall be signed by the chairman and secretaryof the Board under the seal of the Board. The issuance of a license by theBoard shall be prima facie evidence that the person named therein is entitledto all the rights and privileges of a licensed geologist while the licenseremains in full force and effect.

(b)        All licenses shallexpire at such interval as may be determined by the Board, unless licenses arerenewed. All applications for renewal shall be filed with the Board under rulesand regulations it shall adopt and which renewal shall be accompanied by therenewal fee prescribed by the Board. A license which has expired for failure torenew may only be restored after application and payment of the prescribedrestoration fee, provided the renewal applicant meets all other provisions ofthis Chapter.

(c)        A new license toreplace any license lost, destroyed or mutilated may be issued, subject to therules of the Board and payment of a fee set by the Board. (1983(Reg. Sess., 1984), c. 1074, s. 1.)
