§ 90‑171.88. Coordinated licensure information system.

(a)        All party states shall participate in a cooperative effortto create a coordinated data base of all licensed registered nurses andlicensed practical or vocational nurses. This system shall include informationon the licensure and disciplinary history of each licensee, as contributed byparty states, to assist in the coordination of nurse licensure and enforcementefforts.

(b)        Notwithstanding any other provision of law, all partystates' licensing boards shall promptly report to the coordinated licensureinformation system any adverse action taken against licensees, actions againstmultistate licensure privileges, any current significant investigativeinformation yet to result in adverse action, and any denials of applicationsfor licensure and the reasons for the denials.

(c)        Current significant investigative information shall betransmitted through the coordinated licensure information system only to partystate licensing boards.

(d)        Notwithstanding any other provision of law, all partystates' licensing boards contributing information to the coordinated licensureinformation system may designate information that shall not be shared withnonparty states or disclosed to other entities or individuals without theexpress permission of the contributing party state.

(e)        Any personally identifiable information obtained by a partystate licensing board from the coordinated licensure information system shallnot be shared with nonparty states or disclosed to other entities orindividuals except to the extent permitted by the laws of the party statecontributing the information.

(f)         Any information contributed to the coordinated licensureinformation system that is subsequently required to be expunged by the laws ofthe party state contributing the information shall be expunged from thecoordinated licensure information system.

(g)        The Compact administrators, acting jointly and inconsultation with the administrator of the coordinated licensure informationsystem, shall formulate necessary and proper procedures for the identification,collection, and exchange of information under this Compact. (1999‑245, s. 1.)
