28-4664. Maintenance of dealer records; violation; classification

A. A dealer shall keep a written record of the vehicles on which vehicle service transporter license plates are used and of the date of use. The dealer shall make available to the director all records of the dealer for inspection during normal business hours.

B. A sufficient written record includes all of the following:

1. Documents containing the name of the transporter operating, moving or transporting the vehicle.

2. The address of the transporter's established place of business.

3. A complete description of the vehicle, including the make, model, year of manufacture and vehicle identification number.

C. A person who violates this section is guilty of a class 1 misdemeanor.
