(110 ILCS 122/5) Sec. 5. Definitions. For the purposes of this Section: "Institution of higher education" means the University of Illinois, Southern Illinois University, Chicago State University, Eastern Illinois University, Governors State University, Illinois State University, Northeastern Illinois University, Northern Illinois University, Western Illinois University, the public community colleges of this State, and any other public universities, colleges, and community colleges now or hereafter established or authorized by law. (110 ILCS 122/10) Sec. 10. Accommodation policy. Each public institution of higher education must adopt a policy that reasonably accommodates any student who is a volunteer emergency worker in regard to absence from class caused by the performance of his or her duties as a volunteer emergency worker.
