    (5 ILCS 165/0.01) (from Ch. 116, par. 100)
    Sec. 0.01. Short title. This Act may be cited as the Filing of Copies Act.

    (5 ILCS 165/1) (from Ch. 116, par. 101)
    Sec. 1. Subject to the provisions of Sections 2, 3 and 4 of this Act, reproduced copies of the following forms, reports and schedules may be filed in lieu of the original copy:
    (a) Capital stock tax return or schedule required by The General Revenue Law of Illinois;
    (b) Any personal property tax return or schedule required by The General Revenue Law of Illinois;
    (c) Any annual report required by the "Business Corporation Act of 1983", as amended;
    (d) Any annual report required by the "General Not for Profit Corporation Act", approved July 17, 1943, as heretofore or hereafter amended.

    (5 ILCS 165/2) (from Ch. 116, par. 102)
    Sec. 2. In order to be acceptable for filing reproduced copies shall conform to the following standards:
    (a) Be facsimiles of the official form, produced by photo‑offset, photoengraving, photocopying, or other similar reproduction process;
    (b) Be on paper of substantially the same weight and texture and of a quality at least as good as that used in the official form;
    (c) Substantially duplicate the colors of the official form;
    (d) Have a high degree of legibility, both as to the original form and as to matter filled in. The agency with which a report is required to be filed may reject any illegible reproduction and reject any process which fails to meet this standard;
    (e) Be on paper perforated in the same manner as the official form; and
    (f) Be of the same size as the official form, both as to the dimensions of the paper and the image produced.

    Sec. 3. Only one side of the reproduction paper need be used; however, when practicable, both sides, resulting in the same page arrangement as the official form, shall be used.

    Sec. 4. Reproduction of forms may be made after insertion of the required information; however, all signatures shall be original signatures, affixed subsequent to the reproduction process.

    Sec. 5. Prior approval of reproduction of forms need not be obtained from the governmental agency with which the report is required to be filed, if the conditions of Sections 2, 3 and 4 are complied with. If prior approval is desired, a sample of the proposed reproduction shall be delivered to the agency involved, and such agency shall approve the reproduction, if the conditions of Sections 2, 3 and 4 are complied with.
