Chapter 20.--COURTS
Article 26.--RETIREMENT SYSTEM FOR JUSTICES AND JUDGES

      20-2607.   Death prior to or subsequent to retirement; refund tobeneficiary, when.Except as provided in K.S.A. 20-2610a and amendments thereto, in the eventof a judge's death prior to retirement, the judge's accumulated contributionsshall be paid to the judge's beneficiary. Whenever ajudge dies after retirement, without electing an option under K.S.A. 20-2610aand amendments thereto, the amount of annuities the judge has received underthe retirement system for judgesshall be computed and if such amount is less than thejudge's accumulated contributions, the difference shall be paid to the judge'sbeneficiary.
