Chapter 24.--DRAINAGE AND LEVEES
Article 4.--DRAINAGE DISTRICTS WITHIN COUNTIES OR CITIES

      24-462.   Additional assessments where installment levies and bondproceeds insufficient; limitation.Whenever the board of directors of any drainage district shallhave, under the authority vested in it by the provisions of chapter 215of the Laws of 1905, caused any levee to be constructed, or otherwork done, payment for which was authorized to be made under theprovisions of said chapter by levy of a special assessment, and whensaid board, instead of levying said entire special assessment thereof atone time, shall have provided for the payment of the same byinstallments, and shall have issued improvement bonds therefor, payablein installments of equal amount each year, as provided by K.S.A.24-430, and the amount receivedfrom such bonds shall be insufficient to pay the entire costs of suchlevee or other work done, said drainage district may levy in addition tothe amount of such bonds such other special assessments as may benecessary to pay for the work so done: Provided, That the totalamount of such special assessment shall not exceed ten percent of theamount of bonds issued under the provisions of said chapter 215 ofthe Laws of 1905.
