Chapter 32.--WILDLIFE, PARKS AND RECREATION
Article 9.--LICENSES, PERMITS, STAMPS AND OTHER ISSUES

      32-929.   Permanent licenses, American Indians.(a) Subject to the provisions of K.S.A. 32-912 and 32-920, and amendmentsthereto, the secretaryor the secretary's designee shall issue, free of charge, a permanent license tohunt, fish and furharvest to any person residing in the state who submits tothe secretary satisfactory proof that the person: (1) Is at least1/16 Indian by blood; and (2) maintains enrollment on a tribalmembership roll maintained by a federally recognized tribe. Any such personhunting, fishing or furharvesting in this stateshall be subject to the provisions of all rules and regulationsrelating to hunting, fishing or furharvesting.

      (b)   For the purposes of this section, a federally recognized tribe meansan American Indian group that has petitioned for and obtained recognition bythe United States department of the interior under the standards set out in 25C.F.R. Part 83, as amended.
