Chapter 71.--SCHOOLS--COMMUNITY COLLEGES
Article 6.--STATE AID AND FISCAL PROVISIONS

      71-609.   Same; subjects and courses taught outsidehome county, certain authorizations required.(a) No amount of astateentitlementshall be based upon enrollment in any subject orcoursethe principal part of which is taught at a location outside thecounty of the main campus of the community college, unless thelocation of such subject or course is specifically authorized by thestate board of regents.

      (b) (1)   Noamount of a stateentitlement shall be based uponenrollment in any subject or course which is taught in acounty inwhich the maincampus of a state educational institution is located, unless the teaching ofsuch subject or course is specifically authorized by the chief executiveofficer of the state educational institution or by a designee of the chiefexecutive officer. The chief executive officer of each state educationalinstitution may designate and authorize a person or committee to act on behalfof the chief executive officer in granting the authorizations required by thissubsection.

      (2)   For the purposes of this subsection, the term "main campus of a stateeducational institution" as applied to Kansas state university of agricultureand applied science means and includes the campus of the university located inRiley county and the campus of the university's college of technology locatedin Saline county.
