71-611.Definitions; operating expenses; legallyadopted budget; general fund.(a) "Operating expenses" means the total expenditures and lawfultransfers from the general fund of a community college during afiscal year for all purposes.
(b) "Legally adopted budget of operating expenses" means the amountlegally authorized and budgeted for operatingexpenses in thegeneral fund of a communitycollege.
(c) "General fund" means the fund of a community college fromwhich operating expenses are paid and, subject to the provisions ofK.S.A. 71-613a, and amendments thereto, to which all amounts of stateentitlements,property taxes for generalpurposes, student tuition, and other moneysprovidedforby law are credited.
