6.170 Duties of sergeant-at-arms, doorkeeper, janitor, cloakroom keeper and pages. (1) The sergeant-at-arms shall direct and superintend the pages and the delivery of the mail, and perform the duties of the doorkeeper in his absence. (2) The doorkeeper shall superintend and direct the janitor, and perform the duties of the sergeant-at-arms in his absence. (3) The janitor of each house shall keep its chamber swept and in order, provide water for drinking purposes, and perform the duties of the cloakroom keeper in his <br>absence. (4) The cloakroom keeper shall take charge of and keep until called for the coats, hats, umbrellas, canes and other articles placed in his charge by members or employees, <br>and shall be liable to the owner for any loss caused by his negligence. (5) The pages shall obey the directions of the sergeant-at-arms, and, during his absence, the directions of the doorkeeper. (6) Either house may prescribe additional duties for any of its officers or employees mentioned in this section. Effective: October 1, 1942 <br>History: Recodified 1942 Ky.
