6.230 Compensation of employees. Employees of the General Assembly shall receive a per diem as follows: chief clerk, one <br>hundred twenty dollars (&#36;120); assistant clerk, one hundred ten dollars (&#36;110); enrolling <br>clerk, one hundred five dollars (&#36;105); sergeant-at-arms, eighty-five dollars (&#36;85); <br>doorkeeper, eighty-five dollars (&#36;85); janitors, seventy-five dollars (&#36;75); cloakroom <br>keeper, seventy-five dollars (&#36;75); pages, thirty-five dollars (&#36;35) each. XII, sec. 2, provides that this section &quot;relative to the compensation of employees of the <br>House and Senate shall apply to, and be paid for, covered employees of the 2006 <br>Regular Session of the General Assembly effective January 3, 2006, provided that <br>there shall be deducted from the amount due to each employee the amount already <br>paid to the employee for services during the 2006 General Assembly which were <br>rendered prior to the effective date of this Act.&quot;
