16.530 Membership statements and certificates.
Under such rules and regulations as are adopted by the board, each employee becoming a <br>member on July 1, 1958, shall have on file at the retirement office, on such forms as the <br>board may prescribe, a statement of the facts pertaining to his status as a member which <br>shall include a detailed description of all service rendered prior to July 1, 1958. Until <br>such statement is filed, no member shall be entitled to receive any benefits under KRS <br>16.505 to 16.652. As soon as practicable after said statement is filed, the system shall <br>ascertain the amount of prior service, if any, to which each member is entitled and shall <br>issue to each member a certificate certifying the length of such service rendered by him.
