Page 1 of 1 39A.140 Procedure for payment of compensation. (1) If the owner of property seized, taken, or condemned accepts as adequate the compensation fixed by the Governor, the owner shall file a statement of the amount <br>of compensation from the Governor with the Finance and Administration Cabinet, <br>which shall draw a warrant on the State Treasurer for the amount of the <br>compensation in favor of the person entitled to payment. (2) If the compensation is determined by award of the Board of Claims or judgment of a court, as provided in KRS 39A.110, 39A.120, and 39A.130, a certified copy of the <br>award or judgment shall be filed with the Finance and Administration Cabinet <br>which shall draw a warrant on the State Treasurer for the amount of the award or <br>judgment. (3) The State Treasurer shall pay the warrants out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated. Effective: July 15, 1998 <br>History: Created 1998 Ky.
