56.819 Procedure upon change in ownership of leased premises. (1) When there is a change in ownership in leased premises, the new owner shall furnish the Division of Real Properties, within the Department for Facilities and <br>Support Services, with a copy of the deed or other instrument of conveyance by <br>which the new owner acquired title to the property or the right to payment under the <br>lease and other evidence in support of his claim to the payment of rent under the <br>lease the Division of Real Properties may request. The Commonwealth shall change <br>its records and redirect its rent payments accordingly. (2) When the agency occupying leased premises or the Finance and Administration Cabinet receives information that a change in ownership has occurred, payments of <br>rent shall be suspended until the Division of Real Properties learns the ownership of <br>the premises and determines who is entitled to the rent.
