67.190 Petition for consolidation of counties -- Notice. When a petition signed by not less than five percent (5%) of the registered legal voters of <br>any county, and no petition shall be signed by less than two hundred (200) legal voters of <br>any county, shall be filed with the county judge/executive, asking that said county be <br>consolidated with a named adjoining county, it shall be the duty of the county <br>judge/executive to notify the county judge/executive of the adjoining county. If within six <br>(6) months from the time of said notice of the first county to the second county a petition, <br>similarly signed by not less than five percent (5%) of the registered legal voters of any <br>county, and no petition shall be signed by less than two hundred (200) legal voters of any <br>county, has been filed, for the consolidation of the two (2) counties, the county <br>judge/executive of the second county shall notify the county judge/executive of the first <br>county of such action. Effective: June 17, 1978 <br>History: Amended 1978 Ky. Acts ch. 384, sec. 147, effective June 17, 1978. -- Created 1942 Ky. Acts ch. 48, sec. 1.
