75.060 Status and compensation of firefighters serving outside limits of district or municipality. All municipal firefighters, fire protection district firefighters, and volunteer fire <br>department firemen, full-paid or volunteer, attending and serving at fires or doing fire <br>prevention work outside the corporate limits of a municipality, fire protection district, or <br>volunteer fire department district as provided in KRS 75.050, or area normally served by <br>a volunteer fire department, shall be considered as serving in their regular line of duty as <br>fully as if they were serving within the corporate limits of their own municipality, fire <br>protection district, or area normally served by a volunteer fire department, but full-paid <br>firefighters shall receive no additional compensation and volunteer firemen shall receive <br>only such compensation as may be provided for by ordinance or resolution in such cases, <br>and all such full-paid firefighters and volunteer firemen shall be entitled to all benefits of <br>any pension fund, in the same manner as if the firefighting or fire prevention work had <br>been within the corporate limits of the municipality, or area normally served by a <br>volunteer fire department.
