79.160 Transfer of employees -- Applicability of civil service laws. (1) When the governing bodies of any two or more political subdivisions within the same county, which may include the fiscal court, enter into a contract for the <br>rendering of governmental services the contract shall make such provision for the <br>transfer of employees from the departments of the one or more subdivision or <br>subdivisions of government receiving the service to the departments of the <br>subdivision of government rendering the service as may effect the efficient <br>functioning of the plan for service to the people. (2) In the event that in accordance with the provisions of subsection (1) of this section, employees are transferred to a governmental department subject to any civil service <br>laws or regulation, those transferred employees shall during the term of the contract <br>be subject to any such civil service laws or regulations. Such employees, when <br>transferred, shall be considered as having satisfied all of the qualifications for <br>obtaining original appointment under applicable civil service laws and regulations, <br>and shall be considered as having been given probationary appointments as defined <br>in such laws or regulations as of the date they are so placed in the classified service.
