95.890 Definitions for KRS 95.895 to 95.945. For the purposes of KRS 95.895 to 95.945, the following terms shall have the following <br>meanings: <br>(1) &quot;Beneficiary&quot; shall mean a member, either active or retired, of a local government pension system which participates in the local government pension investment fund; (2) &quot;Board&quot; shall mean the governing body of the local government pension investment fund, as provided for in KRS 95.905; (3) &quot;Fund&quot; shall mean the local government pension investment fund, as created by KRS 95.895 to 95.945; (4) &quot;Qualified investment manager&quot; shall mean a bank or trust company as defined and regulated in Subtitle 3 of KRS Chapter 286, or an investment adviser as defined in <br>KRS 292.310 and registered under KRS 292.330, or an investment adviser <br>registered under the federal investment advisers act of 1940, or an insurance <br>company certified pursuant to KRS 304.3-160; (5) &quot;Participant&quot; shall mean a locally administered public pension system, created pursuant to KRS 79.080, 90.400, 90.410, 95.290, 95.520 to 95.620, 95.621 to <br>95.629, 95.767 to 95.785, 95.851 to 95.884, 95.991 or 96.180, which chooses to <br>invest in and thereby become a member of the local government pension investment <br>fund. Effective: July 13, 1984 <br>History: Amended 1984 Ky. Acts ch. 111, sec. 55, effective July 13, 1984; and ch. 177, sec. 16, effective July 13, 1984. -- Created 1980 Ky. Such <br>an adjustment has been made in this statute. Legislative Research Commission Note. This section was amended by two 1984 Acts which do not appear to be in conflict and have been compiled together.
