96A.310 Legislative findings. The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky hereby finds and determines <br>as a legislative finding of fact that the institution, acquisition, preservation and <br>continuation of mass transportation facilities to serve the general public is vital to the <br>health, safety and material well-being of the citizens and inhabitants of the <br>Commonwealth, and that the preservation and continuation of operations of mass transit <br>facilities at reasonable rates to the public constitutes a proper application of the police <br>power, will result in decreased automotive congestion, safer and more efficient utilization <br>of the public ways, and the safe and effective movement of persons and property, and will <br>thereby serve the public safety, health, convenience, enjoyment and general welfare. Effective: March 27, 1974 <br>History: Created 1974 Ky. Acts ch. 169, sec. 1, effective March 27, 1974.
