164A.030 Corporation is de jure municipal corporation and political subdivision. The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky hereby finds and determines <br>that in carrying out its functions, powers and duties as prescribed in this chapter, the <br>corporation will be performing vital public purposes in improving and promoting the <br>public welfare and prosperity of the people of the Commonwealth of Kentucky by <br>promoting the availability of higher educational opportunities. Accordingly, the <br>corporation is constituted as and shall be an independent de jure municipal corporation <br>and political subdivision of the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
