173.740 Expenses of board members -- Employment of relatives -- Conflict of interest. The members of the board shall not receive compensation for their services, but may be <br>reimbursed for their actual expenses necessarily incurred in the performance of their <br>duties, upon vouchers duly approved by the board, signed by the secretary and <br>countersigned by the president. No board shall newly employ as a member of its library <br>staff any member of the board or any person related closer than a second cousin to any <br>member of the board.
