184.140 Notice of assessment -- Methods of payment. The board of directors shall notify each property owner in writing of the assessment made <br>against him and shall also cause printed notices setting forth the assessments against each <br>property owner to be posted in at least ten (10) public places along the road to be <br>improved or maintained. The property owner may pay the assessment against his property <br>in cash without interest within thirty (30) days from the date of the notice, or may elect to <br>pay the assessment by paying the assessment in ten (10) equal annual installments, the <br>first of which shall be paid within such thirty (30) days without interest, and an agreement <br>executed to pay the other nine (9) installments annually with interest at the rate or rates or <br>method of determining rates as the board of directors determines, payable annually. The <br>notice of assessment shall state the terms. Effective: July 15, 1996 <br>History: Amended 1996 Ky. Acts ch. 274, sec. 45, effective July 15, 1996. -- Amended 1968 Ky.
