Page 1 of 1 200.100 Cabinet to investigate status of children -- Report to Governor. (1) The cabinet shall make a survey of child welfare in the state and shall present to the Governor and Legislature, prior to each legislative session, a report of its findings <br>and recommendations based thereon. The cabinet shall prepare data upon the <br>subject and be ready at all times to advise the Governor or any member of the <br>General Assembly concerning bills, relating to children, introduced at any session <br>of the General Assembly. (2) The cabinet shall discover dependent, neglected, delinquent, and disabled children, and shall secure for them the benefits of law, and shall have general supervision and <br>control over the administration of mothers' aid. Effective: July 15, 1994. <br>History: Amended 1994 Ky. Acts ch. 405, sec. 53, effective July 15, 1994; and ch. 416, sec. 14, effective July 15, 1994. -- Recodified 1942 Ky. Acts ch. 208, sec. 1, <br>effective October 1, 1942, from Ky. Stat. secs. 331L-7, 331L-8. Legislative Research Commission Note (7/15/94). This section was amended by 1994 Ky. Acts chs. 405 and 416 which are in conflict. Under KRS 446.250, Acts ch. 416, <br>which was last enacted by the General Assembly, prevails.
