252A.12 APPOINTMENT OF CONSERVATOR NOT A FINDING OF INCOMPETENCY.

An appointment of the commissioner as conservator shall not constitute a judicial finding that the developmentally disabled person is legally incompetent except for the restrictions which the conservatorship places on the conservatee. The appointment of a conservator shall not deprive the conservatee of the right to vote.
