85.04 ENFORCEMENT DIVISION EMPLOYEES.

Subdivision 1.Peace officer employment.

The commissioner of natural resources may employ peace officers as defined under section 626.84, subdivision 1, paragraph (c), to enforce laws governing the use of state parks, state monuments, state recreation areas, and state waysides.

Subd. 2.Other employees.

The commissioner of natural resources may designate certain employees according to section 84.0835 to enforce laws governing the use of state parks, state monuments, state recreation areas, state waysides, state forest lands when incidental to normal forestry duties, and state forest subareas.
