490.540. Any such affidavits, taken out of this state and inthe United States, may be taken before any clerk of a court ofrecord, and shall be certified, under the official seal of suchclerk, or before any judge of any court of record, to becertified by such judge, and the official character of such judgeshall be certified under the official seal of the clerk of suchcourt.
