Petition, how served.

511.210. The petition of defendant shall be served on theplaintiff in the judgment or notice given by publication to him,or, if the plaintiff be dead, then on or to his legalrepresentatives, in like time and manner as provided for theservice or giving of notice in case of an original petition upona defendant.
