513.490. Whenever the personal property of any person shallbe attached or taken in execution against such person, and thedebtor therein shall claim that the same or any part thereof isthe product of such homestead, the officer taking the same shallcause appraisers to be appointed and sworn, as in the case of thelevy of execution on real estate, and such appraisers shalldecide upon such claim and settle the products of such homesteadto such debtor accordingly, and the proceedings thereon shall bestated by such officer in his return.
