Southern dairy compact commission, Missouri delegates appointedby governor--terms, vacancies, per diem, funding.

262.701. 1. Three delegates from Missouri shall be appointed by thegovernor and confirmed by the senate to represent the state on the southerndairy compact commission, created and provided for in article III of thecompact contained in section 262.700. The delegates shall include onedairy producer who is engaged in the production of milk at the time ofappointment or reappointment, one consumer representative, and one dairyprocessor.

2. Each delegate shall serve for a term of four years and shall servediligently and conscientiously and shall strive to achieve the purposes ofthe southern dairy compact.

3. Vacancies in delegate positions shall be filled in the same manneras the original appointments for the unexpired portion of the vacantdelegate's position.

4. Delegates shall receive a per diem not to exceed fifty dollars forservice and traveling expenses incurred in the performance of their dutiesas delegates.

5. The director of the department of agriculture may provide funding,subject to appropriation, as necessary to the delegation during its term.
