Efforts to break contract a misdemeanor.

274.260. Any person or persons or any corporation whoseofficers or employees knowingly induce or attempt to induce anymember of an association hereunder or organized under similarstatutes of other states with similar restrictions and rights andoperating in this state under due authority, to break hismarketing contract with the association, or who maliciously andknowingly spreads false reports about the finances or managementor activity thereof, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and besubject to a fine of not less than one hundred dollars and notmore than one thousand dollars for each such offense; and shallbe liable to the association aggrieved in a civil suit in thepenal sum of five hundred dollars for each such offense.
