Expansion of subdistrict, procedure.

278.259. 1. Petitions for including additional land withina duly created and existing watershed subdistrict may be filedwith the supervisors of the soil and water conservation districtand in such cases the provisions of sections 278.170 to 278.190in respect to the creation of a watershed subdistrict shall beobserved.

2. If sixty-five percent of all landowners of the areaproposed to be included in the existing subdistrict voting in thereferendum do vote in favor of the inclusion, the proposed areashall be included in the existing subdistrict and the soil andwater district supervisors shall declare the area duly includedand the action recorded in their official minutes.
