City traffic engineer.

300.060. 1. The office of city traffic engineer isestablished. The city engineer or other designated city officialshall serve as city traffic engineer in addition to his otherfunctions, and shall exercise the powers and duties with respectto traffic as provided in this ordinance.

2. The city traffic engineer shall determine theinstallation and proper timing and maintenance of traffic controldevices, conduct engineering analyses of traffic accidents anddevise remedial measures, conduct engineering investigation oftraffic conditions, plan the operation of traffic on the streetsand highways of the city, and cooperate with other city officialsin the development of ways and means to improve trafficconditions, and carry out the additional powers and dutiesimposed by ordinances of the city.
