307.140. It shall be unlawful after January 1, 1936, tooperate on any public highway or street, in this state, a motorvehicle registered in the state of Missouri, manufactured orassembled after said date, designed or used for the purpose ofcarrying passengers for hire, or designed or used for the purposeof carrying school children, unless such vehicle be equipped inall doors, windows and windshields with safety glass.
