25-1611. Jurors; failure to appear; neglect of officers; penalties.Any person summoned for jury service who fails to appear or to complete jury service as directed shall be ordered by the court to appear forthwith and show cause for such failure to comply with the summons. If such person fails to show good cause for noncompliance with the summons he or she shall be guilty of contempt of court.If any jury commissioner or deputy jury commissioner, sheriff or deputy sheriff, or person having charge of election records, neglects or fails to perform the duties imposed by sections 25-1601 to 25-1639, the person so offending shall be considered guilty of contempt of court.
