44-3526. Act; exemptions.TheMotor Vehicle Service Contract Reimbursement Insurance Act shall not applyto motor vehicle service contracts (1)(a) issued by a motor vehicle manufactureror importer for the motor vehicles manufactured or imported by that manufactureror importer and (b) sold by a franchised motor vehicle dealer licensed pursuantto the Motor Vehicle Industry RegulationAct or (2) issued and sold directly by a motor vehicle manufactureror importer licensed pursuant to theMotor Vehicle Industry Regulation Act for the motor vehicles manufacturedor imported by that manufacturer or importer.
