79-1153. Residential placement; subsequent duties.Following residential placement of a child with a disability, the school district of residence and the State Department of Education shall continue efforts to develop appropriate programs closer to the child's home and shall cooperate with the Department of Health and Human Services in preparing families to accommodate returning children with disabilities. The Department of Health and Human Services shall provide consultative services, as defined by mutual agreement between the State Department of Education and the Department of Health and Human Services, to the children with disabilities who were initially provided residential care and to their families.
